Santa Barbara Castle
The Castle of Santa Bárbara is located on the top of the Benacantil mountain, 166 metres above sea level. It is home to one of the largest medieval fortresses in Spain.There is a path called Monte Benacantil which is highly recommended. 📸 Views It offers a panoramic view of the bay of Alicante. 🏡 Curiosity The Castle has three enclosures, located at different heights and belonging to four different periods. 🚶🏽Access Pedestrian access by urban itineraries. 🎟 Tickets Appointment essential and the possibility of guided tours. 🗺 How to get there? Tram: Lines 1, 2, 3 and 4 to Marq-Castillo stop. The ascent to the castle is only on foot by urban routes. 📍Surrounding area In the surrounding area you can visit the Co-Cathedral de San Nicolás de Bari and Postiguet Beach.
